Lilypie 4th Birthday Ticker Lilypie
Out of the Mouth Of Grayson
October 31, 2009

When I picked Gray up from school the other day I had to sign an incident report about a bruise on his forehead. When Grayson got in the car I questioned him about the bruise. Here’s the ensuing conversation:
Me: What happened to your head?
Gray: Cwistofur and Zachowee said I couldn’t go on the swide.
Me: So what did you do?
G: I said- Yes, I can. Watch this! (with his nose scrunched up)
Me: And then?
G: So I went up the swide and the then they started jackin’ me up.
Me: They did what?
G: They started jackin’ me up.
Me: huh?
G: They were jackin’ me up and then I fell down the swide.

A few days ago Grayson proclaims as he sees a comercia on TV- “Hey Daddy- Look it’s YOUR show- knokcers!” It was a commercial for Ultimate Fighter. Now how does he know that Tim loves that show? And where did he come up with that name?

Earlier this week Grayson says “Mom, is today the day I can be Tim Tebow?” (His halloween costume.)
Me: No. Not today. On Saturday.
G: Oh. Is Gage going to be a football?
Me: Yes. (we have talked about this many times.)
A few seconds later…
G: Hey mom?
Me: Yeah?
G: I fink you should be a cheerweeder.
Yeah, um, uh, I don’t think so- but good thinking Gray!

A couple of weeks ago, Grayson reminded me to get out our Halloween decorations. As I came down the stairs with the large black Rubermaid container (with a pumpkin painted on the side) Grayson started dancing around, clapping his hands and proclaimed, “It’s Halloween Treasure!!!!”

  1. Too cute! Ohhh - how I am loving this age right now. They say the cutest and funniest things. Ummm - didn’t I just complain a couple of weeks ago about how this stage is hard to deal with? It ALL balances out.

  2. And why not a cheerweeder, mom? You’re no fun at all!

I’m glad you’re keeping track of these things - you’ll appreciate it later and he will too…….one day!
